Envisioning a design concept is a challenge, to then go back and create concept revisions for balance or the client’s individual requests can also be a challenge equal to the first. Time is money and this has always been difficult to explain, so I made a video for others to assist my business.
Located on the Chromatic Path YouTube channel, this video explains the process of graphic modification to improve an idea. Using ink on velum as the process, tightening up line definition and line-weight created balance between the black and white elements within the art. • Research (1.25 hours)
• Concept sketches (4.00 hours)
• Ink on Velum 10″ x 14″ Graphic Illustration (10.75 hours)
• Hi-res Image Editing and Retouching (14.50 hours)
• Ink on Velum (second version) 10″ x 14″ Graphic Illustration (7.25 hours)
• Hi-res Graphic Art Production (3.50 hours)
• Final Export as High Resolution Mechanical .jpg file
After researching playing cards online and many other designs found at the local Yorba Linda Public Library a few unique ideas came to mind that did not fit anything seen before, it was a missing link, with a purposeful and lawful twist.
All original artwork is produced for trademark and can be licensed according to individual usage requirements. At Chromatic Path we create visual solutions for all media and this Final Mechanical Production Art was exported as a Hi-Res .pdf file. To have something created click on the following link.
