Developing a full page ad design for a magazine or newspaper is a very big deal. The cost of such a publication ad is staggeringly expensive so whenever a business or marketing manager gets approval for such a project, they are counting on the design to work and the designer to come through in a pinch. Meaning, that this ad must do it’s job and more, look great, be done within the time frame provided and be praised by all. Everyones reputation is banking on it’s success.
Design:
The design for such a project begins with requesting it’s purpose, it’s goals and what is physically available graphically to create the final artwork. For this full page ad design, we had developed the original brand of the corporate identity, so the first step was mostly about gather the text required by the marketing manager and preparing a balanced design to display the trophy.
Production:
Creating 3 full page ad design concepts for a client to review is so very important. As a design house we often know what is best for our clients and their businesses but we never exclude the simple fact that the company knows what is best for the company. So, we deliver options for review. After all, there is a marketing manager, a president, sales men and plenty of other staff who will provide their opinions and two cents about the design. And, rightly so! In the end, everyone must be impressed with the art, happy with the design and be wowed when they see it while flipping through a publication. Also, magazine advertisements benefit company pride as an added bonus feature – priceless!
